Can the salmon fishing really be THIS good?
I’ve never seen fishing like this in Bodega Bay. At least in my sometimes failing memory I can’t remember seeing this many large salmon being caught off the Sonoma Coast.

Darris (the Vegan Mama) has shared several images of fishing boats in Bodega Bay. She writes in her June 28th post:
Anglers are out trolling for salmon in Bodega Bay. I counted thirty three fishing boats at 8:00 p.m. A fellow beach walking friend told me that he and his wife counted over seventy (70) fishing boats off Bodega Head on Sunday!
The Marin Independent Journal is reporting that so many salmon are being hooked along the Northern California coast that the price of fresh, wild king salmon is plunging, at least for commercial fishermen who are on strike for a better deal.
Bob Norberg of The Press Democrat is reporting that “commercial salmon fisherman on the North Coast are tying up their boats and will stay in port for the next few days in an attempt to drive up prices.”
